today is the day everyone is waiting for.


6 teams.
24 ODACians (minus one - cassandra)
Gathered at the tentage beside Pasir Ris MRT station
ready for the BIG FIGHT against other JC ODACians for the Champion for Adventure Trail Challeng 2007.


It was tough,
I can say.



Well done people!
Good that you all at least have experienced the intensity, the toughness, the endurance tests in this race, especially the JC1s.
Never mind if we never win any medals.
What are medals to us?
Just a piece of metal (bronze, silver, gold, whatever)
Only to be shown off.

What's really worth is the experiences:

the rough terrains you have run through
the trails you have biked
the smelly drains you have tunneled through
the choppy waves (or calm ones?) you have fought against while kayaking

and...

the encouragements of one another
the shoutings, frustrations to one another
the tiredness of everyone
the endurances when each of us have to stitch all the way
the true colours of everyone displayed
the trust on one another in the team
the 4 hour long "bonding session" within the group

...
and most importantly(s),

the sense of satisfaction
one has gained
after their LAST STEP of this 28km.
yup.

Please appreciate such races.
It's really worth it.


P.S. to winston, raj, cassandra:
It's great having you guys to complete this 28km with me.
I really treasure the time we spent together.
Though at times I tend to piss you all off,
But overall
I think we have done a great job.
Hurray!
